This week we'll read Mayday! Mayday! an informational book. We'll study a diagram, discuss cause/effect, Xx /ks/, capitals and question marks, and HF words yellow, blue, green. Please sign and return the Unit Assessment in your child's folder. April Read Alouds are due. I hope you are reading to/with your child regularly.
Homework: Have your child write two questions and answer each question in a complete sentence. Note pencil grip and beginning and end punctuation. Writing should be done slowly, carefully, and neatly. Full name at the top please. The paper is in your child's folder.
In Math we're finishing up capacity and weight and moving on to addition.
We'll enjoy salsa and chips as we celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

On Thursday we'll visit the Mothers' Day Boutique. If your child will be shopping please send the money in a labeled envelope.
Community Service Project: We're collecting school supplies for the clients at the local food pantry to be used in the fall. Items include pencils, crayons, markers, and glue stickes. Thank you!
Warmer weather means thirsty children. Your child needs to have a water bottle.
