"Jesus, the light of the world, calls us to share his light with others."
Matthew 5:14-16
The children will learn that Jesus is "the light of the world" and that light is a symbol of God for us. They will share ways they might let their own light shine.
I hope you had a happy Mothers' Day and loved the gifts from your child.
Our trip to the museum was wonderful. The docents were very impressed, not only with the children's behavior, but with their knowledge about art as well. Great job, kindergartners! Thanks to all who chaperoned.
Sixteen children participated in the April Read Aloud for a total of 261 books read. Total to date is 2,754.
This week we will read Messenger, Messenger, a rhyming story to compare and contrast. Focus will be on Uu short /u/, nouns, and HF words: what, said, and was. We'll brainstorm jobs that help people and jobs that make things for people.
We'll continue to work on addition and illustrate some number sentences.
It's hard not to keep our eyes off the chrysalis as we await their transformation into butterflies.
We're looking forward to our Grandparent/Grandfriends breakfast. Thank you to all who offered to send in something. Have you sent in your RSVP?
Have a wonderful week ahead
