"Jesus calls us to help others."
Matthew 20:29-34

The children will become aware of people who help them in different ways. They will see Jesus as one who helped others. We will read Bible stories about how Jesus used his hands to help others and be reminded that hands are for helping, not hurting.

We will share our want ads for friends and discuss what makes a good friend. The children have enjoyed reading about two best friends, George and Martha. It will be fun to watch them open their valentines after a healthy heart snack. The Healthy Heart program has been rescheduled for Wednesday.

Our reading selection is Seeds, an informational book. The focus will be on drawing conclusions, Oo short /o/, recognizing sentences as meaningful word groups, HF Words: they, you, of and -og Word Family: dog, fog, hog, jog, and log.
