"Jesus Rose from the Dead and Gave Us New Life."

   The children will see the comparison between the life cycle of a butterfly and the death and Resurrection of Jesus. They will be able to appreciate spring as a time of new life and to rejoice that Jesus is risen.
   Our reading selection is Max takes the Train, an animal fantasy. Skill: Realism and Fantasy; Phonics: Jj /j/ and Ww /w/; Grammar: questions; HF Words: yellow, blue, green' -un Word Family: bun, fun, nun, run, and sun. I will give the Unit 4 Assessment this week. We'll go on a sight word dig and use tally marks to record the words found.
   I hope that you're reading for the Read Aloud.
   We've been writing in our journals almost every day and can't wait to share them with our Grandparents/Grand Friends next month. Have you RSVP'd yet?
   We'll begin working on measurement: comparing length using standard and non-standard units of measurement. We'll read How Big Is A Foot? and work on capacity and weight.
   We've planted lima beans and will record their growth.
   We'll jump for the American Heart Association this week. Everyone will participate. Thank you!
