John 5:1-8
The children will learn that God wants them to be joyful. They will recall how Jesus brought joy to people.
The Reading selection is This Is The Way We Go To School, fiction. Skill: drawing conclusions; Phonics: Yy /y/ and Qu /kw/; Grammar: verbs; HF Words: where, come.
We will graph the total number of books read for the May Read Aloud. I'd love 100% participation. There is info in your child's folder about our Read Aloud Book Party on Thursday, June 14th. Every child is expected to participate.
We'll work on subtraction and make up our own story problems.
It's been fun discussing dinosaurs and the theories as to why they became extinct. We'll go on an edible dino dig this week. I have a special activity planned for Thursday, around 1:00 and could use some extra help. You can join us at the band concert afterwards at 1:30 if you'd like.
We've collected 2 bags of pretzels and 2 bags of goldfish crackers which equals 4 snack items to date. The snacks will be given to the local food pantry for the children to enjoy while home for the summer.
Homework: The paper was sent home last Wednesday and is due Thursday. Two sentences and a picture about a book character.
